Sally Kraft, MD, MPHDr. Sally Kraft, MD, MPH is VP of Population Health at Dartmouth Health where she leads a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to improving the health of populations and communities across the region served by Dartmouth-Hitchcock faculty and affiliates. The Dartmouth Health Population Health department is organized around understanding the needs and implementing evidence-based interventions in 3 inter-related populations: employees, patients medically homed with Dartmouth-Hitchcock primary care providers, and the communities served by Dartmouth health services. The department intentionally aligns efforts to population health management and community health improvements. Through the purposeful coordination of health care redesign and investing in community-based resources, she hopes to learn how our health systems can be partners in pursuit of health. In this role, she has gained a deeper understanding of the need to ensure that community experts are helping identify the questions that need to be asked, as well as, creating the solutions.
Dr. Kraft received her MD and MPH degrees from the University of Michigan, and has practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine in Stanford CA and Madison WI. |
Hanan Babikir Bedri, MS, MAHanan Bedri is the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Public Health Association. Bedri brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and 13 years as an executive director of membership associations. Bedri started her career in New Hampshire with the New Hampshire Minority Health Coalition. In this role, she worked closely with underserved immigrant and refugee communities in Manchester, NH, including Vietnamese, African, Hispanic, and Arabic-speaking populations. For the past 13 years, Bedri served as an executive director for small to mid-size membership associations (500 - 1500 members), most recently the Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers. Her educational credentials include an M.S. in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University; an M.A. in Education and Human Development from George Washington University; and a B.S. in Community Health Management from Ahfad University for Women. Bedri also completed organization development courses at American University's Organization Development Program and Nonprofit Management courses at the University of Central Florida's Nonprofit Management Online Program.

Kenneth Allen, EdD, MBAKenneth is a senior lecturer in the Department of Biomedical and Health Sciences at the University of Vermont. Prior to moving to Vermont, Kenneth worked for Kaiser Permanente in Northern California as a clinical education coordinator, project manager, and director of imaging services. His work has often focused on regulatory compliance and advocacy, addressing inequities in the delivery of healthcare, and quality improvement in the delivery of diagnostic services. Kenneth received his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont in 2016. His research interests include college matriculation patterns of students who are typically underrepresented in the healthcare workforce and the safe and effective use of radiation in diagnostic imaging. His teaching focus is in the areas of healthcare finance, management, and sustainability. Kenneth is a past President Elect of the VtPHA (2020 - 2021).

Sally Kerschner, RN, MSNSally Kerschner, MSN, RN has been involved with the Vermont Public Health Association for over twenty years and served as President 2017- 2020. She recently retired from the Vermont Department of Health as the MCH Injury Prevention Coordinator, Division of Maternal and Child Health. She has worked at VDH since 1983 in a variety of supervisory and management positions for programs addressing community health and Maternal and Child Health. Professional interests include population health planning, systems development, public health policy, and maternal and child health issues such as environmental, periconceptual health, injury prevention, and rural health. Sally is presently working with the Vermont Public Health Association and the Vermont Public Health Institute on implementing the CDC Health Equity grant deliverables for the Vermont Community Health Equity Project.

Rebecca J. Boulos, MPH, PhD
Becca Boulos is Executive Director of Maine Public Health Association, a position she has held since 2016. She has worked in the nonprofit and academic sectors for more than 15 years, focusing on community approaches to encourage healthy eating and active living. Becca received her Ph.D. in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, where she earned a USDA Doctoral Fellowship in Obesity. She received her Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health and her B.A. in Communications from The George Washington University.

Heather Drake, MPHHeather Drake is Maine Public Health Association's Membership and Engagement Director, having taken on the role in January 2022 (previously serving as MPHA’s Membership Manager since 2019). With more than 10 years of experience in public health, Heather has worked in the areas of cancer prevention, substance use prevention, physical activity and active living, and health care payment and system reform. Heather earned her Master of Public Health from The George Washington University and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Policy Studies from Syracuse University.
