NHPHA is a volunteer organization. The work that we do can only happen with active member participation, so please consider joining a committee. Descriptions of each of the four standing committees are described below. NHPHA also has a Student and Young Professional’s Initiative (SYPI) that is organized by the Membership Committee.

Communications Committee

The Communication Committee meets the 1st Monday of every month from 8 – 9 AM at the NHPHA office. The NHPHA Communication Committee is responsible for ensuring communication between NHPHA, our members, our partners and the public.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee meets the 4th Monday of every month from 5 – 6:30 PM at the NHPHA office. The NHPHA Membership Committee is responsible for fostering and maintaining both individual and organizational relationships with members and non-members as well as providing leadership in raising the resources needed to accomplish the mission of NHPHA.

Policy Committee

The Policy Committee meets the 4th Friday of every month from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at the NHPHA Office. The purpose of the NHPHA Policy Committee is to work under the Board's direction to develop evidence-based policy statements for the association on public health issues, to provide policy relevant sessions for state legislators, to make recommendations regarding the Association's priorities for the year, and to provide counsel to the NHPHA Policy Director regarding legislative priorities and monitoring legislation.

Program Planning Committee

The Program Planning Committee meets on an as needed basis and is responsible for planning and evaluation all aspects of the Annual Meeting and Fall Forum.
