Disabilities and Deaths Due to Air Pollution Continue to Increase – What Are the Reasons for It?The first two decades of the 21st century have brought about many significant, impressive changes, especially in relation to aspects of public health, but one of the biggest of these consists of the steps taken to reduce air pollution throughout the world (Bi et al., 2023; Dehghani et al., 2022; Supasri et al., 2023; Wu et al., 2021). For decades, it was understood that pollution was linked to many adverse health conditions, but little was actually being done to combat the problem (Bi et al., 2023; Dehghani et al., 2022; Wang et al., 2022). However, this began to shift in the 1990s, and since then, a lot has changed worldwide.
