Special Enrollment Period for Health Insurance

Under an Executive Order issued by President Biden, a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for New Hampshire individuals and families for Marketplace healthcare insurance coverage will is running from February 15, 2021 and through May 15, 2021. Under this special enrollment period New Hampshire is one of 38 states covered by the federal exchange.

This SEP will allow individuals and families in states with Marketplaces served by the www.HealthCare.gov platform to enroll in 2021 for comprehensive health insurance coverage. Beginning February 15, 2021 and through May 15, 2021, these Marketplaces will make this SEP available to all eligible New Hampshire consumers who are submitting a new application or updating an existing application.

This Special Enrollment Period will ensure that more Granite State families have access to quality, affordable health coverage during this difficult time. Covering New Hampshire's ACA public education and outreach campaign includes paid digital ads, social media, video shorts, neighborhood literature drops, and a grassroots campaign to put important information about the ACA open enrollment period in front of New Hampshire individuals and families.

There are three companies offering ACA-compliant plans in New Hampshire this year, and they are Ambetter from New Hampshire Healthy Families, Anthem and Harvard Pilgrim.
