NHSCA Arts in Health Grant Opportunity

by Lisa Burk-McCoy, Grants Coordinator, Creative Communities & Arts in Health

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts is now taking applications for its FY2022 Arts in Health project grant program.  The application deadline is May 14.  These grants award up to $6,000 for projects occurring 8/1/21 – 9/30/22.  The match requirement is waived for this grant cycle.

The Arts in Health grant program accepts applications in two categories.  The Health and Healing Track funds projects that promote and facilitate individual health and healing through participatory arts experiences. The Public Health Track funds arts activities that provide a public health benefit in New Hampshire communities and is particularly interested in supporting arts-focused projects that address one or more of the following priorities:  collective/intergenerational trauma, racism and equity, behavioral health and substance misuse, social exclusion and isolation, chronic disease, housing and neighborhood disparities, income instability, homelessness.

For the Public Health Track, applicants are encouraged to partner with public agencies, health or social service organizations, or healthcare practitioners as part of their project.  501(c)3 organizations are eligible to apply, including hospitals, social service agencies, rehabilitation/ recovery centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult day centers, senior centers, veterans’ homes, or hospice/grief programs. State and municipal public health agencies and state and county correctional facilities are also eligible.  Contact Lisa Burk-McCoy at [email protected] for more information.
