Inside NHPHA - Message from the NHPHA Executive Director

Dear Members:
Happy National Immunization Awareness Month! The New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) celebrates this month by launching its first immunization campaign, Vaccination Starts with You! The campaign will launch on Monday, August 8, 2022, in collaboration with the DHHS's Division of Public Health Services. Learn more by checking out Colleen's article on Back-to-School Preparation Should Include Vaccinations for New Hampshire Students.

In addition to celebrating the National Immunization Awareness Month, the NHPHA is finalizing exciting activities that will be available to members later this month. We are planning to launch our new website with exciting new features and members-only on-demand content, scheduling a series of professional development webinars, and working with New Futures to launch an advocacy training series in preparation for the upcoming legislative session.
In the August newsletter issue, we highlight interesting topics, including childcare worker shortage in New Hampshire, women's health, LGBTQ+ inclusion in sexual and reproductive health, suicide and mental health, SNAP, and my favorite, member spotlight; a way to get to know your public health colleagues, our members! These articles are written by the association members and public health professionals in New Hampshire, and the content does not reflect the opinion or position of the NHPHA.
I want to end this message by thanking our generous donors, Laura Davie, Kim Mohan, Gail Tudor, Joan Ascheim, Nancy Stone, Michael Cohen, and Martha Bradley! Thank you for your generosity! We, at the NHPHA, greatly appreciate your donation. Your support is invaluable to us; thank you again!
Thank you for reading, and I wish you a lovely month!

Hanan Bedri, MS, MA
Executive Director
