Please join us on Wednesday, November 4, from 9 to 11:15 a.m. for our virtual Lobbying and Advocacy: A Primer for New Hampshire Non-Profit Advocates training! 

What can you do as a non-profit or public health official? What are the legal sources of lobbying restrictions? What is advocacy, direct lobbying, and grassroots lobbying? As we gear up for the New Hampshire legislative session, come and join your colleagues to learn the answers to these sometimes confusing questions. Scholarships are available upon request.


Kate Frey is President of Advocacy at New Futures. Kate has more than 25 years of experience working on legislative initiatives in NH. In her role at New Futures, she manages New Futures’ alcohol and other drug policy initiatives and serves as the primary policy analyst for the state budget process.


Kerri McGowan Lowrey, JD, MPH, is Deputy Director and Director for Grants & Research for the Network for Public Health Law’s Eastern Region at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law. Kerri has more than 15 years of experience in public health law and policy.



Jess Wojenski is a Community Engagement Coordinator and Training Manager at New Futures. Jess recruits, trains, and mobilizing advocates to participate in the legislative process. She manages New Futures' training program, including development, implementation, and consulting with community organizations to deliver customized trainings.
