Climate

Climate change is causing more frequent and intense extreme weather events, which pose serious health risks. Heatwaves increase the chances of heat-related illnesses, while storms and flooding lead to injuries and water contamination. Poor air quality and the spread of diseases from pests like mosquitoes are also growing concerns. Vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions, are more at risk. Protecting public health in a changing climate is essential.
