Mentorship Program Kick-Off Meeting
The kick-off meeting brings together mentors and mentees to connect, share expectations, and get to know each other. At the meeting, NHPHA will share the cohort schedule and program goal, expectations, guidelines, mentor-mentee activity ideas, and training schedule for mentors and mentees.​

Advocacy Training Part I
Part one of the Advocacy Training Series provides an overview of the New Hampshire legislature and what makes the state unique. in this session, the speaker will provide an overview of the process of how a bill becomes a law in NH and when to advocate in that process.

NH State House Tour
Join us for an in person tour of the New Hampshire State House on November 3 with Virginia Drew, Director of the State House Visitor Center. The New Hampshire State House is the state capitol building of New Hampshire. The capitol houses the New Hampshire General Court, Governor, and Executive Council.​

Advocacy Training Part II
​Part two of the Advocacy Training Series provides an in-depth look into the role of the legislator vs. public health advocates. In this session, the speaker will focus on how to communicate public health data with legislators by understanding what legislators are looking for and how they make decisions.

Career Development Training - Part II
​In this interactive session, the speaker will prepare attendees for an interview and discuss ways to master the interview questions, including 30 minutes of hands-on exercise. Students will be familiar with common interview questions, relaxation techniques, and ways to understand the interviewer and the job description prior to the interview. The speaker will share reading materials prior to the sessions and tools and resources. ​

Mentorship Program Celebration
On May 1, we will connect, reminisce about the experiences, and celebrate our mentors and mentees. In this interactive meeting, mentees and mentors will announce new and prospective job opportunities, personal and professional plans, and aha moments and share ideas and suggestions to improve the program. Mentees will receive gifts for completing the Mentorship Program. ​
