Building People Power for Health in New Hampshire

Dr. Pedja Stojicic of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health

Join Us April 7 for a Half-Day Workshop in Concord

Across New Hampshire, health professionals, policy leaders, and community advocates are working every day to improve the systems that shape our health. Yet meaningful change rarely happens in isolation. It requires collaboration, shared knowledge, and the ability to organize across professions and communities.

That is why the New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) is partnering with the Endowment for Healthand several statewide organizations to host an exciting professional development opportunity: the People Power Health Workshop, taking place on the morning of April 7 in Concord.

This unique half-day training will bring together New Hampshire’s health policy experts, healthcare clinicians, and public health professionals to explore practical strategies for driving social and systems change. Participants will learn approaches to building stronger partnerships across sectors and strengthening the leadership skills needed to create healthier communities.

At the center of the program is Dr. Pedja Stojicic of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, who leads People Power Health, an initiative that has already trained more than 500 leaders across the country to help co-create more equitable health systems within their workplaces and communities.

During the workshop, participants will explore how to:

  • Build interprofessional and community relationships that support lasting change

  • Strengthen leadership and organizing skills for public health advocacy

  • Advance systems that allow everyone to thrive, not just survive

  • Connect with colleagues working across the health policy and public health landscape in New Hampshire

The workshop will take place at 2 Delta Drive in Concord, on the Northeast Delta Dental campus in the Maine Room. The morning begins at 8:30 a.m. with networking and breakfast, followed by the workshop program from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Opportunities like this are essential as New Hampshire continues to confront complex health challenges—from rising healthcare costs to workforce shortages and health inequities. By building stronger networks and leadership capacity, we can better align our efforts and move toward solutions that benefit communities across the state.

We hope you will join us for this collaborative and energizing morning.
